Transcending being a No-Code Agency + October Recap
We're back, let's catch up a bit! I talk about my path to become a trusted creative director, what we've been up to, and what the future holds.
September - October Recap
Hey everyone,
I hope all is well with you. It’s been a while, but for a lot of good reasons. I’ve been really focused on getting this studio off the ground in the most intentional way I possibly can.
We’ve been wrapping up our first enterprise project for FalconX, soon to be done with our airline project and we’re working on something in the Ai space also.
The team worked hard on this, we turned around this project in 2 weeks. I’d never do it like this again, but I’m telling you they made me feel like Phil Jackson coaching the 96-97 Chicago Bulls or 3-Peat Lakers or even Steve Kerr coaching the dynasty Warriors. Whatever legendary team + coach you want to throw in there - go for it. let me talk some smack and crack some jokes, it’s been one hell of a month!
September we spent some time bulking up the team, I’m proud to say we’re a diverse group. Speaking of the team, check out Shyne’s talk (it’s free) it’s at Adobe Max:

Our Roadmap to getting paid for creative thinking
On a serious note though, a goal for Crafted Studios is to become a go-to creative director in the corporate & grassroot spaces that need help communicating ideas through design, brand, and experience.
Why? Because there’s a need for a team to go within companies and help them direct their brand, designs, and customer experiences into a better place that aligns with their goals as a company. After working on 25 projects this year, I’ve seen some problems that can’t be solved with just a new website. I want those problems to be flushed out and taken care of by us.
This is how I plan on doing this and this is what we’re already working on also, this is my roadmap to becoming a creative director:
Get so deeply involved in the work that I recognize problems and pain points that transcend Webflow things.
Build our brand to look, operate, and feel like an experienced 10 yr design studio
Keep growing in the corporate space with clients who need creative overhauls
Do more in person projects, locally.
All of this will give me the understanding I need to lead full cycle brand + web design projects with the client in collaboration.
Basically, I’m establishing trust. That’s all it is.
Without trust, they’ll hire someone else to lead you while you do the labor and only the labor. That’s not in the cards for me anymore, and hasn’t been for a while. It’s the season to step into this space with confidence.
I know it’s been a wild month for everyone really, according to what I’ve been hearing and reading October has been testing everyone. but thankfully holiday season is here and man I just wish you guys well.
Good health, healthy relationships, impactful work, good food. Whatever makes you feel at peace - because shit, they’re trying to make that harder to find.
Much love to you all, I’m happy to be writing again to you - I missed it. We’re back now!
Talk soon,
-Dexter
